Product Details
The 1812 RO membrane 50 GPD 75 GPD focuses on precise outer diameter tolerance (1.81″ ±0.02) and brine seal placement (0.6″ from the cap end) to prevent raw water bypass. The dual-lip seal compresses evenly against the housing wall, while the upper O-ring uses a 2.2mm cross-section – the same as original OEM parts. This attention to detail makes it a true residential RO membrane element that installs without force or special tools.
The 50 GPD and 75 GPD versions are physically identical; the higher flow comes from a thinner feed spacer and additional leaf pairs. You can upgrade from 50 to 75 GPD without altering the housing – a simple membrane swap.

Why Choose This Replacement Element?
- Proven fit on 23+ housing brands – From Pentek and Omnipure to generic Chinese housings, we validated the outer wrap and seal geometry.
- Anti‑bypass tape alignment – The fiberglass wrap is precisely positioned to prevent untreated water from channeling around the membrane.
- Visual instruction card included – Every box contains a quick guide showing O‑ring lubrication and seal orientation.
- 50 or 75 at the same wholesale price – Stock one SKU; decide output during installation.
- As a low pressure RO membrane element supplier – We ensure this 1812 RO membrane 50 GPD/ 75 GPD works perfectly at 60‑65 psi, the typical pressure of residential water lines. For pricing, sample requests, or technical support, please contact our sales team.

Applications

FAQ
1. The housing cap won't close fully after inserting the 1812 RO membrane 50 GPD / 75 GPD . What's wrong?
Usually the brine seal lip is misaligned. Remove the membrane, gently compress the lip evenly with your fingers, then reinsert while slowly rotating the element clockwise. The seal should slide in without resistance. Also check if the old O‑ring is stuck inside the housing.
2. Product water TDS dropped initially but then jumped to match tap water. Why?
That indicates a seal bypass – raw water is entering the product tube. Inspect the upper O‑ring for damage (nicks, cuts) and feel inside the housing for sharp burrs. Replace the O‑ring if needed.
3. Can I use a 75 GPD membrane if my system came with a 50 GPD?
Physically yes. However, the drain line flow restrictor is sized for 50 GPD. With a 75 GPD membrane, the restrictor will reduce waste flow too much, causing faster scaling on the membrane surface. Replace the restrictor with a 75 GPD version (typically 300‑400 mL/min) to maintain proper life.
4. The membrane looks dry out of the box. Is it usable?
Yes. Dry membranes have a longer shelf life (up to 3 years) and no preservatives. Before installation, flush for 2 hours (instead of 1 hour for wet types) and discard all water produced during that flush. Then test TDS to confirm normal rejection.
