Product Details

 

The hollow fiber membrane module HM90 is a compact PVDF ultrafiltration module designed for efficient solid-liquid separation in small-scale water treatment systems.

PVDF material – The HM90 uses PVDF as the standard membrane material, providing strong chemical resistance and mechanical durability. It withstands sodium hypochlorite cleaning and a wide pH range. Compared with PVC or PAN, PVDF offers better chlorine tolerance, making it suitable for oily water and frequent cleaning applications.

Filtration mode – The module supports both dead‑end and cross‑flow configurations. For clean surface water, dead‑end operation achieves higher recovery. For water with higher solids or slight oil content, cross‑flow reduces surface fouling.

Construction – Fiber inner and outer diameters are standard for this series. Housing is UPVC. End caps are sealed with epoxy resin. Connection size is DN40. All dimensional data are provided in the specification table.

The hollow fiber membrane module HM90 is an expert at scalability. As your flow demand increases, you can simply add more modules to the same manifold. Its low pressure drop at partial load (below 0.005 MPa at 50% design flux) makes it suitable for systems with low-head pumps. Each module is laser-etched with a serial number, providing full traceability back to its production records and performance curves. The epoxy potting is highly resistant to chemicals, withstanding up to 5000 ppm NaOCl at 30°C for 24 hours, though the cleaning pH should remain between 2 and 11.

1. What is the main difference between HM90 and larger modules like HM200 or HM250?

HM90 has a smaller membrane area. One person can handle it. Suitable for low flow or pilot systems.

2. Can hollow fiber membrane module HM90 be installed horizontally?

Yes. The HM90 can be mounted vertically or horizontally. For horizontal installation, ensure the support brackets are placed at the reinforced end sections specified in the dimensional drawing. Drain ports must be positioned at the lowest point.

3. Does the PVDF version of HM90 cost significantly more than PVC?

The PVDF version is approximately 15–20% higher than the PVC version for the same module. The payback comes from fewer replacements over time. For a system that runs three years without chemical cleaning, PVC is acceptable. For systems with weekly CEB, PVDF lasts more than twice as long.

4. How many HM90 modules can be connected in parallel to a 2-inch header?

A 2-inch header can supply up to 8 HM90 modules at design flux without exceeding recommended pressure drop. For 10 or more modules, use a 3-inch header. The connection kit for multimodule arrays is available as an accessory.

5. Drinking water contact certification?

Yes. PVDF, UPVC, and epoxy resin comply with NSF/ANSI 61. Test report available.
